To ensure your move is carried out to a high standard, with the required resources, it is imperative that an appointment is arranged with one of our surveyors at a time that is convenient to you. We can arrange this appointment during the working day, evenings and even weekends.
Arranging an appointment with our surveyor is beneficial in many ways. It gives you an opportunity to meet a member of your potential removal company and to ask any questions you may have. Essentially, it allows us to gather all information and services required for your upcoming move, calculating volumes of furniture/boxes etc, viewing any potential access issues, note any special instructions for the removal teams, and most important of all, it will allow us to formulate the exact requirements and resources needed to complete your move to the high standards we strive to achieve.
Your survey will generally take between 15 – 30 minutes, depending on the size of the move, the complexity of the move and of course, the number of questions the customer and the surveyor may have.
Once we have carried out a thorough survey, this information will be relayed back to our head office where we will create your quotation. You will often receive a digital copy via email within 24 hours, and a hard copy in the mail within a few days.
We generally advise you to start collating your quotes from around 6 – 8 weeks before your proposed move date. This will allow you to plan for the finances required for your move, and give you time also to decide which Removal Company you will use for your upcoming house move. Most professional removal companies will generally get booked up around 2 -3 weeks in advance for dates, especially on Fridays as this is a very busy day in the removal calendar.
Please do not worry about booking your survey in to early, once you have sold your property, or have a move date for a rental property contact us and would be delighted to visit you. Don’t forget, this is a free service and there is no obligation to use our services once the survey is completed.
